Just a little update,
The surveyors were here again and pegged next doors land so that they now can put up the new fence. Theirs and our land was some 13 mtrs further than estimated, what means: more terrain to keep up.
In the meantime Matt our neighbour has cut most of a huge elm on our land down, it being a nuisance. The big pine near it will become a feature of our new home.

We are going (fingers crossed) to divide our land and build our new home on the second block. We will than sell off what is now our home. We have had the surveyors in for a geo-tech survey. This is the total outlay of the land with contours and everything what is on it, situation of existing powerlines, sewers, stormwater arrangement trees. Here we made already the first mistake by not mentioning pegs. We assumed they would peg out our property, they did not. Since our neighbour wants to put up a fence we need to have pegs by surveyors to establish the boundaries of the property. Now we have to call them out again to do just that what they could have easily done the first time while they were here. The builder we have employed, who is also our other neighbour had an architect/techinician out here to see if there could be difficulties with
sewage/water/electricity supply, but he could see no problems. The main worry is we are going to build closer and lower to the river and there are restrictions with floodlevels etc. established by the council and later changed when Wivenhoe dam was build. The first level is higher and we hope the second level now in force will allow us to build where we want overlooking the river getting the cool breezes.
